The paper pallet is constructed from high-strength corrugated paper and a honeycomb core, assembled into three main layers:
- Top Deck Board – A smooth, flat surface made of multi-layer corrugated paperboard, providing even load distribution and stable support for goods.
- Honeycomb Core (Supporting Blocks / Stringers) – Hexagonal honeycomb paper cells are vertically arranged inside the pallet legs or beams. This structure offers excellent compression strength while keeping weight extremely low.
- Bottom Board– Some designs include a bottom layer to create a double-deck pallet for heavier loads or racking storage. Others use open-bottom legs for easy forklift entry.
- Edge Reinforcements – Hardened paper corners or glued edges to prevent damage during handling and transport.
- Water-Resistant Coating – A wax or biodegradable film applied to the outer surface for temporary moisture protection.
